I was looking around the world wide web yesterday wondering if there was a forum where UK based PI’s hang out and chat. I wouldn’t find a single one in the UK that was open.
So I decided to do one myself and started asking around for a good name. Neil Sheppard from Trident Investigations came up with “e-Legal Gathering”
The forum is targeted at all investigators regardless of which association or e-group they belong to and also appeals to lawyers and members of the public who are curious about the often shadowy world of the private investigator.
Carl Shepherdson from CS New Media set it up in an afternoon.
There’s still lots to do with it, such as designing a logo for it, we need to get some T & C’s etc but in the meantime…I hope you all like it.

Jorge from Salgado Investigations is travelling to Weston-super-Mare to attend a wedding with a difference.

In what is believed to be the ‘first’ event of its kind, the Wedding4Networking will take place at Rookery Manor near Weston-super-Mare on Friday, 15 June.
The couple getting married are Brad Burton, one of the founders of 4Networking, the business networking organisation that is sweeping the UK, and his fiancé, Kerry.
Shown here psyching himself up.
Over the past year more than 1,000 businesses have registered online at www.4networking.biz and attended networking breakfasts around the country and Brad wants them all to help celebrate his marriage.
“I’ve made hundreds of close friends during the past year through 4Networking and would love you share in our special day, in typical 4N fashion we’ll have great fun in doing it.. says Brad Burton, The UK’s first ever Wedding4Networking event, it’s so crazy it may just work.
We will be having a buffet table at one end of the room and a massive ‘bumpf’ table at the other for your business cards and literature.
The marriage ceremony will take place during the day with a private family affair.
From 7pm, 4Networkers are invited to celebrate the marriage & take the opportunity to mingle socially with other 4Ners… We are expecting well in excess of 100 4Networkers in the evening and would really love you to attend and give us a great send off.
* Adult Bouncy Castle
* Chocolate fountain
* Walk around Magician
* 20foot Bumf Table! Bring your biz cards
* Inflatable sumo suits!
* ‘Networking’ whilst drunk!

Well done to Louise from PlainText who has recently had an article published in the distinguised Observer. She talks about the newish tactics employed by Debt Collection agencies in sending out texts to the debtors without making clear who they are. A shady practise frowned upon by the OFT.
She also points out that the tracing done by these agencies all too often end up with an old address. I would imagine that there is no tracing done at all other than to check the electoral roll. These companies often deal in bulk tracing and can not afford to do indepth tracing.
If people wanted an indepth tracing service, they would be best adviced to approach private detectives.

As some of you may be aware, I was voted onto the Branch committee of the FSB for Croydon some time ago (see below).
The Croydon Branch AGM of the FSB was held at the Hilton Hotel, Waddon Way, Croydon. Jorge Salgado-Reyes was newly elected on to the Branch Committee of the Federation of Small Businesses.

Last night i attended a buffet networking event and presentation given by John De Groot on his Business Warrior Concept.

What is it, you might ask?
“The Business Warrior process combines the non-traditional principles we have discovered, together with innovative business practice from around the world to allow you to take control of your future.”
All in all a very interesting networking event.
