INVESTIGATIVE INTERVIEWING

If the reports indicate that your staff are raiding the tills or stealing stock, we conduct interviews to ascertain the facts and to negotiate repayment.

Based on the information in our report, the client generally asks us to conduct interviews with the suspected perpetrators of employee theft. The staff member is asked to account for their actions, as seen on the video recordings. Statements are taken from the suspects. If theft is admitted, we will advise you on how to proceed and how to try to recover the money etc.

Our investigators are capable of conducting investigative interviews by using a variety of different interview models, taking lucid, comprehensive and succinct statements and/or proofs of evidence to standards acceptable to counsel, civil and criminal courts. If necessary, such statements will be supported by our staff giving evidence at the relevant court.

The interview is the final stage of most investigations, and relies heavily on interview procedures perfected during over 19 years of field experience and in accordance with accepted best practice.

Most interviews with suspects who have been caught on video recordings produce the required result - a statement of guilt. We then offer you advice on dismissal procedures within the confines of employment law.
